We agree with Joan Rivers and her Fashion Police Team- Rihanna was hands down the best dressed at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Rihanna kept it gangsta with Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface being her inspiration for the Armani dress.

A week ago we were ready to leave gloomy London and check out things on the brighter side in LA. We were counting down the days for this trip, but unfortunately it did not go according to plan…at all.

Our flight to LAX was suffering from broken toilet syndrome, making us sit on the runway for 3 hours. Not fun. Finally took off and landed safely in LA. We were booked to stay at The Redbury hotel in Hollywood, but were told at check in that they were over booked. Exactly something you want to hear after a 13-hour flight. The reception staff were kind enough to put us up at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, which was pretty swanky so we had no complaints.

The next day was an early start thanks to the time difference. Went to showrooms and met a few new designers, really excited about the forthcoming collections.

Then… disaster struck.

We were involved in a car accident that led to a few fractured ribs and a night at the Cedars Sinai hospital. Was definitely not on our itinerary. It was a surreal experience that felt like being on a Hollywood action movie set, hoping for the director to shout, “Cut”. Luckily nobody was seriously hurt, must have had some angels watching over us.

Although this was one unlucky trip, we look forward to our next visit to the hills…

The Luv AJ mixtape Vol 2 has arrived. We showed our love for the first mixtape, and this one is even better. With the lovely sounds of Florence and the machine, Jamie Woon and The Weeknd. Our personal favourite is still The Weeknd who we have a stalker like obsession with. Theophilus London's cover of Oops(Oh My) is amazing, first heard his voice in the new season of How to make it in America.

On Saturday night the fierce ladies from the X Factor Misha B and Amelia were spotted in Joomi Lim and nOir jewellery during their live performances. Misha B wore the spiked dome ring by nOir and the rock was certainly seen from a mile off! She worked her gorgeous white outfit and wore the ring as her statement piece.

The controversial Amelia wore the wide spike cuff by Joomi Lim. The spikes made sure nobody took the microphone out of her hand. Hopefully she didn’t hurt Kelly Rowland whilst hugging her backstage!
